POSITION SUMMARY: Northeast Bank’s (NASDAQ: NBN) National Small Business Administration (“SBA”) Lending Group is looking for a motivated and organized Coordinator to support its administrative operations. Northeast Bank utilizes a technology-based origination platform and collaborates with an established Lender Service Provider (“LSP”) to operate a high performing SBA Lending program. Northeast Bank has earned a reputation for providing creative and responsive lending solutions and is powered by an experienced team with a successful track record. The Coordinator will be responsible for supporting all administrative operations of the SBA Lending program including tracking and responding to loan application requests and issues as well as preparing and arranging loan underwriting, closing, servicing, and liquidation work flow according to SBA Standard Operating Procedures (“SOP”). A successful candidate for the Coordinator position will be able to prioritize numerous assignments in a fast-paced work environment with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the Bank’s SBA Lender Match representative and administer all aspects of the match process including triaging and responding to applicant messages as well as partnering with both Bank employees and the LSP to resolve any applicant issues that may arise.
- Develop and implement standard phone and email response templates to address applicant messages as well as regular reporting to illustrate the Bank’s SBA Lender Match performance.
- Review loan guaranty sale packages (SBA Form 1086) on a monthly basis to ensure all data in the package matches the final approved bid sheet.
- Compile and organize loan information for auditors and regulators as requested.
- Perform the initial evaluation of SBA 7a Small Loan applications via online portal to ensure files meet all Bank and SBA credit, eligibility, and risk standards.
- Prepare loan closing and funding worksheets including boarding sheets and wire requests for senior team members to review.
- Assist with loan servicing and liquidation actions as outlined by the SBA’s 7a Lender Matrix.
- Other duties/responsibilities as requested.
- Successfully pass technical and regulatory examinations as required by the Bank.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: I
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years prior banking or finance experience.
- Outgoing, charismatic, and comfortable engaging with people in all types of environments through all mediums (phone, in person, via email).
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Team-orientation with a desire to learn and improve.
- Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Flexibility in schedule with respect to meeting time sensitive deadlines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND CONDITIONS:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
- Some travel is required.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25lbs.
- Consistently operates a computer and other office equipment such as calculator, copy machine and printers.
- Climate controlled general office setting with moderate noise level.
- Must express or exchange ideas with co-workers, customers, and vendors.
